We do know more than reported here, in other languages it is reported there were loud noises.

Domestic disturbances should not be taken lightly, so calling the police in that case seems like a wise idea.

Agreed, Domestic Disturbance can be a serious issue when it developed to Domestic Abuse and psychological abuse... But aren't we getting a little ahead of ourselves here? there is surely a difference between a domestic disturbance and an argument.

If the Police are called to every argument in the home we'd need a far larger police force.

The police were not interested in this issue which implies it was just an argument, I suspect the person who reported this to the Police knew this and only called the police (and the Media) because of who it was rather than what it was.

It is also reported that on the recording Symonds can be heard screaming at Johnson to 'get out', Johnson is heard to respond 'No

If fairness Chomp if the claim of the shouting and ranting in their domestic were applied across the board the old bill would be inundated every night Nationwide ..

It also says a lot that the " neighbour " took the time to contact a newspaper that is less than favourable I understand to Johnson in some of their print ..

Does this not have storm in a teacup write large over it when maybe everyone should be diverting their efforts to sort out the brexit thing .. Though personally I avoid all that as it bores the t*ts off me ..

Apparently, the neighbour who alerted the police, also called the Guardian., hence their exclusive (maybe they called the Guardian first!)

The domestic incident also inspired a neighbour to show off his rapping ‘skills’:

More interestingly the the police at first denied the incident until presented with the case report number and Tag numbers of the attending police vehicles.

It doesn’t, hence the word ‘maybe’. It was tongue-in-cheek speculation on my part, which is why I put it in brackets.

I am no fan of Johnson

but all couples have arguments, and his gf is no shrinking violet. Indeed, one of the main reasons he has been successful so far in this leadership election is because she has him on a tight leash, so he has not had an opportunity to make his usual gaffes.

i don’t think anyone in authority is taking the incident too seriously.

So a neighbor doesn't like the Politician and uses any opportunity, possibly to exact their spite...

It is reported that he'd had an argument with his Girlfriend, not exactly unheard of in any relationship...  No news here, just the media being the usual gossip mongering tools...

Actually the noise was so loud that the complaining neighbours were able to record it. Apparently this recording is in the possession of the Guardian. It sounds like this was not the first time.

You think she's reported Boris & Carrie's humping and grunting to The Garuniad before?

A total fake news posting, and all based on a ridiculous claim by a neighbor who saw a chance to make some money, sad ! A disgruntled fired employee once phoned up the police saying his employer had an apartment full of hard drugs. Amazingly this was enough for a whole busload of narcotics squad to come all the way from Bangkok and completely search the premises. They at least had the decency to apologize ???? Result.......<deleted> causes huge waste of time.

What part of it is fake news. She heard argument and noise. Called police who attended to see if there was a problem. Nothing fake news about it.

How much money did the neighbour make?

Calling it 'news' makes it fake for me. It's just not important and not news. Regardless that it originated from The Garuniad, the other so called 'newspapers' carried it too. Where does it go - in the political pages, local crime reports, or with the Love Island nonsense?

Possibly. Or the neighbor is left wing and saw the opportunity to slight a Tory; or saw the chance to make some money from selling it to a left wing newspaper rag.

How many people, on hearing a domestic neighbors argument, record it, call the police and then offer the recording to a political newspaper?

The neighbour did no simply call the police s/he first went to Simonds' door and knocked three times, only calling the police after getting no response.

I wonder how many serious domestic violence incidents would be prevented if more people responded like this?!

But hey, let's call into question the neighbour's motives.

Absolutely socially responsible good citizen.

Even took the trouble to record it and then offer that recording to the most politically acceptable left wing anti Tory paper.

How do you know the neighbor isn't known for being a nosey busy body? Are you suggesting neighbors should nip round every time they hear an argument between couples?

Or perhaps you favor a society where people can inform on neighbors they suspect of behaving badly, having the wrong opinions etc.?

All be better if the state monitor and control everything eh?

So the 'concerned' neighbours contacted, you've guessed it, the Guardian. Surprise, surprise. Much ado about nothing that is any of our business. Neighbours may be in a bit of trouble though, recording illegally. Assuming there really is a recording...

Or possibly the neighbour is a staunch brexiteer and doesn't trust Boris Johnson to deliver.

Quickly becoming the world's newest banana republic,  already a laughing stock around the world,  getting worse by the day.

I don’t think ‘the world’ would be very interested in this.
MSM and Chattering classes women dishing their politico dirt maybe, but it’s not ‘a thing’ for real people.
