I can't say that I'm fond of Boris Jonson, however, the issue at hand here is not the man himself but that issues such as this which are inflated by media ultimately oxygenate stupidity and detract from the genuine issues which the media should reporting and which we should be understanding...  this is not news its pathetic gossip...

It’s more information providing a better understanding of who and what Johnson is.

So a neighbor doesn't like the Politician and uses any opportunity, possibly to exact their spite...    It is reported that he'd had an argument with his Girlfriend, not exactly unheard of i

So, anyone who enters into an argument can't do their job? (shouldn't be running the country?) For real?...   You never argued or raised your voice with anyone?... only low lifers would have

Someone who spends his entire working life in the company of 650 other psychopaths all of whom believe that they can make difference?

Will you be joining in, or will you continue to bait, report & play victim as usual?

You have been well and truly rumbled pal. If you're going to plaque and troll the boards to this extent you could at least make it amusing for everyone else.

Once again evadgib, do try to understand I’m not the subject of the topic under discussion.

Even though you have literally 0 actual information about the what or the why of the context for this argument that took place in the privacy of his girlfriend's home, you're very willing to allow it to reinforce a negative view you clearly already had of him.

This is the problem with the modern 'newsmedia' IMHO - so called 'stories' are all too often predicated on misinformation, sensationalism, halo-polishing, professional outrage, gossip and heresay - there's so little real objetcive and intelligent journalism left that it's both astounding and very depressing. Serving this kind of fluff up to people who are willing to believe it prima facie (like a worrying number on TV) is what the media specialises in these days. The sadness is it detracts from the salient questions and debates that should be asked and had.

Well we have a bit more than zero information.

By example:

If their screaming and shouting was audible beyond the walls of their house, it wasn’t private.

Johnson is a habitual liar, I need no lower opinion of him.

For a salient question how about, is this liar fit for office.

The events of late last week suggest there are other reasons to doubt he is.

I understand you’d rather such negative reporting of his behaviour were not report, I really do understand that.

So..?

Not sure why everyone assumes Boris was beating the gf.

From previous conservative private schooled male antics, it's more likely she had him strapped naked over the dining room table while she beat him with a riding crop.

Did the police check the house for any pigs heads?

I'm assuming Dick is suggesting the subject matter is too trivial to be considered world news

He's a politician <deleted>, why would you have anything but a low opinion of him? As I said he spends his days with 650 other psychopaths who believe that they can make a difference aka. Members of Parliament

A rather solid assumption would be that as he [Boris Jonson] is in a long term relationship he has been involved in an argument or two with his girlfriend, its a fairly solid assumption of anyone in a relationship.

Now that proof of this exists how exactly is our understanding of 'who' or 'what' Johnson is improved?

It could be worse, such low lifers unable to manage their own affairs in a reasonable manner could be running the country.

Lets be honest , everyone sometimes has arguments .

Can anyone say that they've never had an argument in their house ?

I don’t subscribe to the opinion that all politicians are liars. Your diagnosis of psychopathy, is another view I don’t follow.

Given so many are hoping Johnson will make ‘a difference’ to Brexit, your assertion politicians suggests others don’t agree on your final point.

I can promise you I have never had a shouting and screaming argument resulting in neighbors knocking on my door much less the police being called to my house.

Others May have a different set of experiences.

no, not the TV posters, 2 weeks ago or so one posted about the perfect marriage and (besides me) nobody complained about arguments, so Boris must be the exception to the rule

OK , fair enough , Boris Johnson is the only person ever in the World to have an argument

Maybe because you don't have nosey neighbours.

and are they all running to be the UK PM ? If you want to live your life in the public eye get use to the public questions. Avoiding them just raises easily fended off suspicions.

So avoiding simple questions, avoiding confrontation, avoiding the press, avoiding rival MP's, avoiding public scrutiny.....isn't it rather sad that his best chance of being the UK PM is keeping his mouth shut !

No, everyones entitles to a private life and anyones private life is no one elses business

Not at all.

I’m pointing out that I don’t share the opinions you expressed.

The police being called to a domestic involving Johnson is a recorded fact.

Right so now you’re off on a denial of Johnson’s habit of telling lies.

Take that up with the editor of the Times who fired him for lying.

It is the only fact. What it "means" and how it reflects Boofy's personality is an opinion based on individual perceptions
