Just a quick question about pickup bed cargo bars. I have not asked around yet but the vast knowledge here may get me the quick answer. Has anyone seen a cargo bar like this here in Thailand? I am in Rayong area. I can order from Aliexpress but the shipping cost is almost the cost of the bar. See this link for what I am talking about. Must have some accessory shops that have them.

Use a racket strap.

Do you mean a ratchet strap? The difference is that the one the OP showed can be moved into any position depending on the load, a ratchet strap has to be anchored to something on the side of the bed.

Most truck beds have at least 4 steel staples that can be used for ratcheting cargo straps or even bungee cords. I use them for just about anything that needs securing. If the OP really prefers this mechanical device, maybe get some more pictures or a video on one being used and take it to a local fabricator to see what they can come up. Looks all a bit unwieldy to me and TBH never saw them here or in Texas which is pickup country.

Yes I plan on asking around as I always do when looking for something. Being here 15 years now I know how to find what I need but I was willing to endure the comments here to maybe quickly find this product. As for straps I have been using them for years so that is the way it happens now and in the past. We all have a desired way of doing something and I can sift through different ideas and decide what works for me and my budget and physical abilities and capabilities. This bar may prove to be a big failure don't know at this point. I am researching a different way at this point.

The ones you posted on AliExpress are twice the price of the ones sold in the USA for use in big trucks. If you can find something comparable for use in big truck van trailers in Thailand, the construction is such its easy to cut them down to fit a pickup.
I don't like these ratchet bars, they really don't work well in a big truck.
