An unidentified woman whose body was covered in bruises and cigarette burns was found dead inside a boarding house room in Ayutthaya’s Bang Pa-in district late Wednesday night.

Police said the room in a six-floor boarding house on Soi Sin Thiwa Thani 2 in Tambon Sam Ruan appeared to be locked from the inside and that rescuers from a local foundation had to force the door to gain entry.

The woman appeared to be around 25 to 30 years old. She was found lying on her back wearing only a pink t-shirt and pink underwear. Bruises were seen on her torso, legs and arms and there were traces of cigarette burns on several parts of her body.

A doctor determined she had died about eight hours earlier.

The room had not been ransacked and there were no signs of a fight.

The caretaker of the boarding house told police she was informed by other tenants of a smell coming from the locked room and called the police.

She added that the room was rented by a man about two months ago but he had not given his identification card nor signed a contract. She said the woman moved in later.

Police will check the security cameras of the boarding house to try to identify the man and summon him for questioning.

The body was sent to Thammasat University hospital for autopsy.

That will be a suicide, especially with door locked from inside,

no need to investigate further.

A serial killer could get away with so many murders here, just

keep the room tidy and make it look like an accident, suicide,

case closed.

Too true. If a psycho with enough medical CSI common sense could go rampant in Thailand. To be honest I even thing Jack the Ripper could give the RTP a run for their money now.

and may she RiP, and the killer be punished appropriately.

What an awful death, burns and bruises. RIP young woman

Could a murderer also climb out of a window ? or maybe it was just a door knob were you

push the button on the inside and close the door..........just a theory.
