I don’t know. I got the understanding that a work permit, or another long term visa was required. I will not persue the licence again until I -hopefully- have the retirement visa.

    Yes, other members have confirmed that this was their experience. The Elite visa is a bit of an anomaly in this regard.

for me   they gave me a 2 year license then when i went to renew they automaticly gave me a 5 year ..   this was about 3 months ago
