My wife and i have been invited to Canada for a holiday, But i believe its going to be a lot of hassle with getting a visa, So i thought i would ask if anyone from the UK have had a Holiday in Canada.

My wife is still a Thai Citizen and a Indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

Everything points that in order to get a Visa for Canada,, My wife must return to thailand in order to do the Visa which would make the Holiday to Canada way to expensive, Is that the Case.

Anyone know any different and what was the costs if you were able to apply from the UK.

Thank you for any help

I don't think your wife will have to return to Thailand to submit her application, the guidance says she should submit "Evidence of your immigration status in the country of residence", and as a person with ILR she is legally resident there.

The fees are detailed on the VFS website

I am 100% certain she wouldn't have to return Thailand for the visa.

When my wife and I lived in the UK she obtained many visas (Schenegen, USA, India) whilst in the UK. Unless Canada have different rules I am assuming she can apply in London.

It's a big place. Montreal is closer to London than it is to Vancouver. Bear in mind that the summer shuts down on 1st September.
