Ban Chang seems to fit the bill for my next visit to Thailand, based on one or two random forum posts made by complete strangers to me. Though I couldn't find any Muay Thai gyms online, I'm guessing that there still are some around there. Can anyone confirm this? And are these beginner friendly?

There are a couple of Muay Thai gyms in the vicinity of Banchang, but they are for mostly for local pro fighters only, and not beginner friendly.

Drop me a PM and I'll give you the contact details of a personal Thai Boxing trainer. Very nice guy, and not expensive.
