Buying a used powerful graphic card (in Bangkok)?

Featured Replies

These days I play seldom games. But when I want to play them then this often means buying a new powerful graphic card.

And that card is then maybe good enough for a year or two. And then it's time for a new one.

Now I think about buying a used graphic card which was top of the line maybe a year or so ago. I want to save money - if that makes sense.

I am sure lots of hard core gamers who bought a good card maybe a year or two ago will have bought already a new more powerful card.

And then there are of course all those BitCoin machines which use high performance cards. I guess they also need relative often new cards to stay productive.

Now my question is: Are those "old" cards for sale online or even better offline somewhere in Bangkok?

Did anybody of you buy such a card?

Any experience?

I guess perfect would be a locally sold card which has maybe 3 years original warranty and which is now maybe a year or two old and still has warranty.

You can get used ones cheaper than new ones but not much if its the latest gen. Maybe you need to narrow down the the games and resolution you wana use it before choosing one. GTX 1080 (non ti) can be found below 10k B if you look for it.

Thanks for your reply.

I think about the cards before the latest generation.

Because I guess the hard core gamers use the latest generation. So there must be some cards out there which they used before they upgraded to the latest generation.

And that happens obviously again and again for every new graphic card generation.

I can recommend ihavecpu.com, they sell used and new hardware.

I bought a GTX 1080ti from them shortly after the RTX range was released for about 14,500.

It was bought through Lazada, shipped and delivered within a few days, boxed and looked like new.  Good service.

You can get better value with AMD or GTX 1070s and 1060s if your monitor is only good for 1080p though.

I bought a GTX 1070 from IHAVECPU shop in lazada.

It's working fine, came in original box. Very good value.
