Udon Thani somewhere nice to eat, music

Featured Replies

Taking the wife and kids to Udon for a couple of days just wondering if anyone knows a nice family place can sit maybe have music.

Mix of western and Thai food would be great, reasonable pricing. We're staying pretty much middle of the city

The big night market near the train station and UD town. Very cheap food, beers, central and ideal for families. A bit of music going on later in the evening also.

But last Winter no-one was selling Western food anymore! The one good pizza shop closed down abruptly in the Autunm but was only replaced by a new one just before I left in March. Wasnt as good as the old one though. Hopefully they will have improved by the time I return soon.

There is, however, a good steak shop in Prichaa night market, or a good stall selling a range of Western dishes in the back of Centre Point night market which has now been nicely modernised and the seating area expanded. There is also a decent and very cheap Japanese food shop there too. All within walking distance of UD Town or the train station.

Mayaa restaurant has character, is very nice and is renowned for its good Thai food. But it has become a bit pricey now. It is away from the centre near the post office, They do have a few Western dishes.
