PHUKET: A Phuket tour guide carrying 40 grams of heroin in his underwear was arrested after arriving at Phuket International Airport in the early minutes of Saturday morning (Sept 28).

Capt Suporn Mueangkai of the Sakoo Police identified the man as Sompong Saeaio, 43.

Sompong had arrived on a flight from Chiang Mai which touched down at Phuket airport late Friday night.

"Officers identified him as he matched the description given to us by an informant,..."   Well, for what it is worth, if the informant could give a visual description, then the informant must have been close to the guy.  If the guy had any observational powers he might now know who the informant is.  Wonder if this was a one off sting operation?  Wonder how much the guy will rat out the people he bought the drugs from.  Wish they would follow up on cases like this.  I have literally never heard of a drug seller or carrier that is caught and then the cops follow things up the chain.

Do they pull guys in off the street to stand in the background for these photos? Why don't they point at the victim anymore?

It's dis-ap-pointing, there's no point! This was a great opportunity for formation-pointing!????

These pics point at the under cover cops. Perfect.

Damn and I was hoping for a BS story on another bio-metrics airport sting.

6 on 1, the usual ratio here

I bet he added a little something to his underwear when he realized he was caught .   ????

The informant is probably in the picture as well.

I believe there is a seat in parliament waiting for him.

Any Thai looking like Linford Christie in running shorts would be arrested ! Either that or the picture would be a half dozen men pointing at an incredible meaty sausage on the table.

If guilty as charged then he is not a victim
