Melbourne Australia Airport Parking Rates

Featured Replies

I was watching a video from an Aussie that spends a lot of time in Thailand.  He was back in Melbourne and waiting for his Thai girlfriend who was coming to visit.  As he was walking into the airport I noticed a sign in the background:  Short term parking $8  30 minutes.   I know short term parking is pricey  at many airports, but $8 seems pretty high.

Can relate. Same as UK. On coming back here after many years away, was dumbstruck (and still am) with weird parking charges/restrictions. Having to pay to park in a supermarket (that you are shopping at) for instance, lest you get a ridiculous fine, like 85 quid. Meters everywhere now, though granted space is somewhat a premium here now that the place is rammed to the rafters.

can always go for a cuppa (or ten) at the Maccas at the petrol station

but at least now they also have a 4 lanes pick-up only 'Free' location, just Outside International

see right in centre of photo... the yellow diagonal lines...

That rate is very expensive, but if it is anything like Auckland and some other airports, there will be a pre-pay rate online where you can book a couple of hours for $7.
