Motorbike 90 cc or 125 cc

Featured Replies

I would like to ask you guys that are more technical and experienced than me to help me out with a bit of information plse.

Background is.

I am looking for to buy a new motorbike. I have today a Honda Click 90 cc 11 years old, but still working like a horse, so no real problem there. But we have a girl in family that now have gotten her driver license, and therefore we need a second motorbike.

My wife has been out looking around here in Chaiyaphum, Isaan... And came home with a bunch of broschyres. I noticed right away that all of them contain models of 125 cc and none of 90 cc.....

Have they stopped fabricated 90 cc or what???? Have 125 cc replaced the old 90 cc??? If both still exist, is there a big price-difference inbetween the two models???

I am very happy for any input gentlemen..

Thanks

Never heard of a Honda Click 90 cc.

mine was 110 cc, all old ones were. new ones now 125i. don't think any 11 yr old bikes were 90, older honda cubs maybe waves had that option I think 25 yrs ago ? not sure.

now 125, no option of smaller on twist and go. check out local bike shop

Sorry I think I have made an error when writing 90 cc - It should be 110 cc....

Depending on the girls age , she may be restricted to a 110cc bike. Choice is limited. If a 125cc is an option , then very little price increase over 110cc.  Look at Yamaha Filano , GT/Mio or Q-bix. Great quality.

Thank you, will look for these models.

Why not give the girl the old bike and get yourself a new one?

Personally,  I chose the Honda Click 150i over the 125cc.  Slightly bigger but has more power at just a little more cost. The Honda Click 150i has the same engine as a PCX, but much cheaper.

I chose it because the cost was only slightly more than the 125c  but it has the power going up hills, etc. Being slightly bigger than the 125cc also make more comfort for when hauling around the wifey.

If I had to do again...  yes, I would still buy the 150cc Honda Click.

Yamaha Spark 115 Fi cheap and chearful.

In a way it's always nice to have a little more power. But in reality 110cc does the job.

A long time ago when I was young I had a 80cc bike. That was a lot bigger than all the other teenagers with those old bikes which had only 50cc. And later I tuned my bike from 80cc to bombastic 110cc. It felt like a rocket!

So if you want to get that bigger bike and it's legal for her then fine. But don't let anybody tell you 110cc is too small. It's not!

thanks I agree, I have had this 110cc click now since 2008 nd still going strong. I have never ever felt I missed out on anything with a 110 cc, so I am actually OK with that....

No, the one thing I am looking for in a motorbike is that there is room to have plastic bags hangeing when you have been at Big C or Tescio, This Spark model doesn´t do anything for me. But io agree other Yamaha models have much better room like; Yamaha Fileno, Yamaha GT-MIO and Yamaha Q-bix... As well as the Honda Click which I like very much...
