What would happen to Thailand if tomorrow, suddenly, all expatriates, migrant workers and all western tourists left the Kingdom?

How about we do a little prank and for a year, at least, breathe some different air?????

(but not so much, after this morning I saw an honest and tireless Laotian worker being insulted by a Thai)
 

 

All construction projects would halt, all hotels would be dead, gastro will be extremely affected too, so are shopping malls and generally it would be a ghosttown with tons of unemployment.

 

 

 

They would continue stumbling their way around in the dark and making it up as they go! 

There d be a huge warehouse full of Chang singlets

 

Thailand would be cleansed of all the vermin that crashes immigrations party on a daily basis...????

Economy would crash, and enter  depression. 

there would be lots if poor government officials, which kinda means it'll never happen

Tourism would boom, hotels filled to overflowing, businesses have best results in decades.

The fact is, they would get by, they always do. Thais have this ability to ride out any crisis. We saw it in the floods, they simply carry on regardless!

The economy would boom, wages would be more than most western countries, exports would rocket, everybody would be smiling and driving around in new cars, beaches would be clean....don't you understand yet that all of Thailand's woes are the fault of Foreigners.

They have plenty of Thais to service before they get to Farangs. 

 

They would rather sit sit in a bar/massage shop on their phones/talking with friends than spend their time up a rubber tree, or in a rice paddy.

Sounds largely like the UK after Brexit. No Polish builders, No East-Europeans who must make up 90%+ of hotel staff, some food shortages predicted.

There would be an almost complete lack of critical thinking, even more uneducated people blissfully ignorant of the big, wide world around them. Not a pretty thought!
