So another low IQ local carries a gun, how does the governments new strategy of keeping tourists safe going to work then? Put a sign at the door leave your gun and holster at reception????

No gun signs do exist in Thailand.

This one is in Samutprakarn.

Carrying a loaded gun to a night at the pub, then getting into a gunfight over a woman. The level of immaturity of most Thai males and their overly fragile ego is truly amazing. I've met emotionally and intellectually stronger kids than this.

Just a normal night out at the pub.. armed with a gun?

Pretty common, saw last week in thai news that 2 men were shot dead after they helped a waitress get harrassed and touched, the shooter said that he lost face after the 2 men confronted him and his friends about it.

Also just today/yesterday 5 got shot outside bar after 2 groups argued due to the 2 groups looking at each other, 4 people where hit was bystanders, including 2 policemen.

I would never drink with or near local guys here. It's just not worth the risk of accidentally hurting a hyper-fragile ego.

Better to drink alone, with Westerners or certain East Asians like Japanese and maybe Koreans.

I avoid drinking with any type of Chinese guys (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Southeast Asia/Singapore).

Not fun tiptoing around as you can't be yourself for fear of offending.

Happened on the outskirts of Phimai. Place called the Victory Bar. 200 metres from our house. 2 rival gangs fighting over 3 Pretties. I expect the Casino 2 streets down will be next.

I dont know if it is true, but saw alot of thai comments comments saying there is murder or shootings at victory bar from time to time or often?

I expect the woman in question, just walked away

as though nothing happened.

Ah,that’s where I must’ve left my service revolver! Can you pop in on the way down and pick it up for me - I’ll have a beer waiting for you down at the pool. ????

Why?...because the vast majority of posters here love to imply that it is just a Thai thing.  Some people just like a bit of balance.

Not Majority though.

Yes, the majority of comments here are anti-Thai.
