Hello forum membres,

IS there any reliable garage in Phuket which service BMW cars but not the official dealer.

There are quite a few in BKK wonders if there IS in Phuket.

Thanks a lot for your hints.

Is the car still under BSI?  Are you in need of diagnostics, or just general service?  What part of the island are you on?

I used to take mine to a shop that works on German cars close to Phuket Town.  I can't recall the name of the garage though, but could give you a pretty good idea if you're familiar with Phuket Town.  It's right off Chao Fa east right before you turn right to go to Robinson's.

I am very familiar with Phuket Town and I cannot deduce what road you go to Robinsons. Some distance away from Choa Fa east and I can think of 3 routes to Robinsons.

I can't either, haven't been to Phuket Town for years.  However, it was right before the major intersection where you could turn right to Panwa.  There were always a bunch of BMW's and Mercedes out front of the place.

Not sure where your coming from so have started the directions from Central, copy/paste the link into your browser, follow the map south down ChaoFa West, its about 300m after the left turn, the business will be on your right, went past yesterday and was full of BMWs

Business number 8/76

but not the official dealer

Was considering a BMW, so interested to hear from BMW owners why they avoid the dealer?  Costs only, or other issues?

Hello I own an older E66 730 Li would like to find a reliable workshop. In BKK there IS no problem to find but in Phuket ... I will have a look to the business you're reffering to. Interested to Know if they use original oil and parts...

For the dealer question of course the costs are part of the problem but again like Many other car makers as soon as you have an older model they are trying to push you to change your car...

My car despite its age has less than 100000 kms IS in very good condition so why should I change. My former car which IS for sale IS a 1996 Audi A6  with 188000 kms still doing great for its age but wanted something more modern and there IS an excellent workshop for Audi VW Seat in old Phuket town... So looking for the same for my bimmer...

If i was you I'd be hoping they don't use original oil!

Nothing at all wrong with after market parts such as filterers, brake pads and the likes, alot of car manufacturers just put the exact same items in a box with their name on it and jack the price way up, Audi area classic for that, the same water pump for example off a VW is a lot lot cheaper than the exact same for an Audi.
