Popular Post webfact Posted November 4, 2019 Popular Post Posted November 4, 2019 Hat Yai: Security guard steals tourist's car after owner dropped the key Picture: Manager online A security guard at a hotel in Hat Yai in Thailand's far south gladly accepted an ignition key found by a hotel guest. Instead of doing something about it he found the car and drove it away to near where he lived. He parked it at a temple in the Klong Hoi Khong area, took off the licence plates and threw them in the canal. Then he returned to his job at the Regency Hotel in the downtown area and told colleagues he had just been out to eat. Lien Swe Cheng, 31, a Malaysian tourist and his family reported the theft immediately. They were due to be going back home. Police soon had Natthachai Meesuk, 31, in custody and he denied everything. Under interrogation at the police station he changed his story. He said he didn't own a vehicle and he wanted one. He had been in the job only a week, reported Manager. A bit of trivia for you, extremely rude to point the more traditional way in Malaysia, instead they make a fist and use the thumb. A lot less of an impact I agree!

Bangkok Barry Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 I thought it was the job of a security to protect property, not steal it. Oh well. What do I know!
SOTIRIOS Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 ...all too common attitude... ...foreigner = free meal ticket...
SiSePuede419 Posted November 4, 2019 Posted November 4, 2019 He was just protecting the car, so a thief wouldn't steal it. Yeah, that's the ticket. ????
the guest Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 ... and that's how Thais perceive foreigners as easy meat.
YTP Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Idiot was probably busted by his own hotel security cctv.

Just tell the mama san the number.

It’s rude to point at people in Thailand, pointing at inanimate objects is perfectly acceptable.

I thought the numbers were to get around the problem of trying to identify the short dark skinned girl with black hair and fried eggs.......
