I take it he is leaving Thailand to visit you as opposed to the other way round? Where is over here?

Yes I know a Thai licence is valid here, but you do need a certified translation, or better still an IDP

I THINK you need a full (5 year) to get an IDP, but I could be mis-informed (that means wrong)

Just the DL office. got my 5 year one sorted, and got the IDP too.
