Two suspected crystal meth dealers escaped from the cells of Nikhom Pattana police station in Rayong last night. 

 

The case comes hot on the heels of a breakout from the Pattaya court of an American and his wife and a Thai man. 

 

Thai Rath reported that Pol Sen Sgt Maj Samluay Chiaplaem was alone on duty at the cells guarding Parinya, 27, and Rewat, 33 and a woman. 

 

The locals had been arrested earlier on charges of possessing "ice" with intent to sell. 

 

Rewat complained of being hungry and arranged for his wife to get food. 

 

The policeman opened the cell to pass over the food and both men pushed at the door. 

 

The guard desperately tried to shut it again. As they struggled the policeman's neck was squeezed.

 

The men got away on a waiting motorcycle.
