Cheap Bungalows , Rooms, Hotel

Hi All

My neighbour and myself are looking at holidaying in Hua Hin in the next week or so to escape the smog here in Chiang Mai. Our kids keep getting sick and we need some fresh sea air to clear the lungs.

Does anyone know where we could get some cheap clean accomodation for say 10-14 days. There will be 4 adults, one infant and 3 young children.

Any info appreciated.

Hi Troy,

I passed through HH last week, and didn't rate it much. Couldn't find any reasonable accm at all, but must admit to not spending too long looking. Drove through Cha-Am on the way, and thought there seemed to be loads of cheap guest houses right on the seafront for 250-400 b/n (a/c & H/W for the upper range), but ended up driving on to Prachin Kirikhup instead, and stayed in a lovely little guest house right on the beach with it's own pool. Next few days checked out the coast to Chompon and thought it was really nice - loads of little bays with 5-800 b/n bungalows (some big enough for all of you). Well away from the Farang Tourist scene, if that's what you're looking for...

I stayed here before and found it quite reasonable, with good clean rooms, good service and a short stroll to the beach.
