iTunes alternative for old iPod Classic

Featured Replies

Having problems installing iTunes for iPod Classic original.

Many years ago used to have iTunes program for friends iPod but rarely used and so I deleted the program.

Have tried to install iTunes again from Apple and elsewhere but unable to.

I have a 4 year old Acer Aspire laptop with Win7 ( my choice ).   Both 32 and 64 bit if that makes sense.

When I did manage to download iTunes from Apple this is what happens every time.

Open downloaded file ( size 270,295 kb ) then Install Options:-

Welcome to iTunes 12.10.2.3x64

Install options: Add shortcut – Yes, Use as default player – No, Auto update – Yes

Save as C/Program Files/iTunes

Autorun CD is turned off.   Turn on – No

iTunes Installer Completed.

“Message” – The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.    Please run again.  ( Cannot go back ) click finish to exit.

When I look at what it has downloaded it is always 2 files, one is empty the other is related to VLC player ( which I have installed ).  This latter file grows very very slowly in size to about 21mb then stops.

Had enough, and need something that easy to use and works for moving music from my laptop and/or different music program similar to iTunes to the iPod.
