First as far as funding, the members only "pay" a small amount for the upkeep of the NATO headquarters and their permanent staff. The 2% GDP is not a payment, it is a commitment that the member country will commit 2% for there GDP to dedicated military in support of NATO. Granted the members committing 2% has increased from only 3 to 9 since the start of his rants. In addition he rants about the Kurds not fighting during WWII is an example of his complete lack of understanding as the Kurds do not have their own country, they were/are part of Turkey and Turkey was neutral during WWII. Since all countries calculate differently, the 2% goal does not mean that much.
