Thai baht is likely to weaken, central bank deputy governor says

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's baht <THB=TH> currency is likely to weaken on more foreign selling, a lower current account surplus and reduced dollar-related gold trading flows, a deputy governor of its central bank said on Wednesday.

PHUKET: Police have declined to explained what started a fight between an American tourist and a mob of staff from a seafood restaurant on the Karon beachrfont road on Monday (Dec 2) that ended with the American man fleeing a mob of more than a dozen angry locals.

BTS Green Line opens four new stations

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha, attended the opening of the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) Green Line extension, connecting Ha Yaek Lat Phrao Station and Kasetsart University Station. Commuters will be offered free trips until January 2, 2020, with all stations expected to be in operation by the end of next year.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The British cave explorer suing Elon Musk testified on Wednesday he felt "branded a pedophile" by the billionaire entrepreneur, despite Musk's assertion that his "pedo guy" tweet at the heart of the defamation case was not meant to be taken literally.

Mother-in-law attacked and set on fire after she discovered drugs, says media

Naew Na reported that a 50 year old woman in Songkhla in Thailand's far south was set on fire by her son-in-law after she discovered some drugs hidden at the shack where she lived and burnt them.
