A patient in a Khon Kaen hospital angered about being made to wait attacked a doctor with a pair of scissors and got her in a headlock.

The doctor managed to fend off the attack with a metal board and was uninjured as security, nurses and relatives rushed to her aid.

Naew Na reported that the patient had shouted: "If you are going to be this slow, let's both die".

The doctor filed a complaint with Chumpae police following the attack .

Pictures of the incident taken from CCTV were posted on the Facebook page of Victor Vitchayut the former head of a Thailand medical council who said he was acting in the public interest in showing such an attack.

Scissors attack on doctor: Hospital want female patient charged with attempted murder

Health officials and police met at Chumpae Hospital yesterday following the attack by a female in-patient on a 25 year old woman doctor.

The patient, angered about being kept waiting, got the doctor in a headlock and tried to stab her in the neck with some scissors.

The doctor fended her off with a board and later filed a complaint with the police.

Dr Wiphan Sangkhahapong told the media that this attack must not go unpunished.

She said that the intentions of the patient were clear by what she said and she used a weapon in the attack.

That constitutes a charge of attempted murder, she said.

The patient was in for the treatment of allergies and there are conflicting reports that the woman is suffering from depression.

In CCTV evidence she was heard to shout that she intended to kill the doctor.

Shouldnt poke fun but this is how i feel driving here. Rrally dont have the patience for it.

She should do the same in Germany. There you can stab doctors to death (Offenburg), kill firefighters by kicks (Augsburg), rape women (Köln), push 8 year old kids in front of a train (Frankfurt) and much, much more. Don't believe that? Check the news. No punishment, no criminal investigation. Easy paradise country for offenders. Sarcasm off.

Completely BS! No punishment? No criminal investigation? Which drugs do you take? They are all in prison or will come to court soon. Also this thread is about Thailand.

I guess the patient will get a quicker and better treatment after her attack ????
