  • Looks like Boris will get Brexit done after all. Considering this was more of a Brexit-referendum than anything else, I guess this answers the question whether there's a majority for Brexit...

  • Excellent results... anything but this for the Anti semite buffon who made no secret of his dislike and disdains towards jews and Israel, although this is about Brexit and the future of England, a per

  • Don’t worry, despite the people’s confirmation, the usual culprits will still be in denial and still demanding a second referendum or independence or some such.

Will do. Will Wales still be in the UK then?

Lots of reasons for traditional Labour supporters to not like Corbyn.

For me it was that bloody hat. Favourite of the SWP in the 70s and Lenin and the Bolsheviks during the Russian revolution. Not a 21st century socialist.

The Tories have retained power because the alternatives were far worse. You might also remember that there was actually majority vote for Brexit and the Tories were the only major party offering a Brexit of any kind.

For a long period prior to the election, opinion polls showed that the electorate had swung against Brexit, but once an election was called other political considerations get thrown into the mix and the Parliamentary constituency system does not work on a total head count.

And the beard. I've never trusted a man with a beard, particularly when he's trying to emulate Lenin with it.

And you have more chance of betting right on the pools, not the polls.

He had a beard? Never noticed that.

This winners/losers rhetoric is the main reason why people rally against self-satisfying smugness. Give it a rest.

Hopefully not, I hate those choirs.

I agree with what your saying. This is what is wrong with the world and the UK is getting more like the USA with crying rooms and doing everything they can to get a democratically elected president out of power..

It seems some people just accept they are wrong or they were defeated.  I blame the implementation of the National Curriculum in 1988 when there were no losers. The first 3 got a gold medal the next 10 a silver and the rest a bronze. ????

You also couldn't say you are doing wrong, you must try harder. It was don't worry or never mind. You're a winner.????

The election results would say otherwise.

Nicola Sturgeon got 81% of the available seats in Scotland.

What percentage of the available seats in England did Bojo get.

Quite obvious which leader won the election.

Diana Abbot statistics.

Please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that the Lib Dems did not stand on a policy of having a second referendum but rather advocated direct repeal of Article 50 if they were elected.

The Lib Dems have had a policy of a second referendum since 2016.

And they actually had one on the 12th, a resounding "Leave", plus the Lib Dem leader was buried, same as Corby....

The excuses that were on the tele last night were embarrassing.....????

And yet Johnson is in Number 10 for 5 years with a massive majority.

Johnson won on Thursday. Sturgeon is neither in power nor the opposition. You think he would swap places with Sturgeon?

Of course she won in Scotland because she is a nationalist and Scotland is full of nationalists

Short term gain will lead to long term pain.

Brexit has reversed the status quo. The Conservative and Unionist party is now the Conservative and Nationalist party, policy is aimed at England with no regard for Scotland or NI

Looking to a united Ireland, Sinn Fein are more unionist than the Unionists.

The SNP has become a misnomer, what could be more unionist than a campaign to get Scotland into the European Union.

The Union is dead, long live the union.

When the history books are written Johnson may come to regret his time in No 10.

I would be happy with some common sense, some pride in the country and some gumption that you will not always be right, so accept it, work harder and stop blaming everyone else.

I just can't believe how arrogant Corbyn and his inner sanctum are, Corbyn doesn't think it is his fault, but it's all the fault of Brexit, when Labour voters are voting Tory in remain seats, it is his fault. He hasn't had the decency to immediately resign, but he is going to hang on for another 4 or 5 months with the look of it.
