PHUKET: Chalong Police today issued a wanted poster for 28-year-old Florida man Ezekiel Shilon Dolcide, who escaped police custody by running away while still handcuffed on Monday afternoon (Dec 16).

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's central bank left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at a record low on Wednesday, while it cut its growth forecasts for this year and next as exports take a hit from the Sino-U.S. trade war and a strong baht.

Negative factors drag down GDP growth of farm sector

GDP of the agriculture sector is expected to grow a mere 0.5 per cent this year and forecast to expand by 2 to 3 per cent next year, said the Office of Agricultural Economics which also expressed concerns on the strength of the Thai currency.
