PHUKET: Thalang Police are hunting for a man known as Mr Nu who stabbed the owner of a laundry store in Thepkrasattri subdistrict last night (Dec 27).

The owner of the shop, Sombat Tanta, 47, had intervened and tried to quell an argument that had broken out between Mr Nu and an employee of the store when he was attacked by the assailant who was carrying a knife.

He received three stab wounds to his upper chest and was taken to Thalang Hospital by members of his family. Shortly after he was transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital.

All for the sake of an argument, Khun Nu is going to spend the next few days on the run instead of enjoying New Year. Then get a charge of attempted murder slapped on him.

Idiot!

Anyone see a pattern here with all the assaults...especially over trivial things? Seems as if smiling Thai folks in same rage as all our come countries. Seems to be rising fast here.

I would say in general they have more pent up emotions

it makes me so wild when my coins get stuck in the washing machine slot    !

Even Saying Jai Yen Yen does not seem to help. Cool Heart is not what a lot of people have these days.

Hot heads and loss of face seems to be the situation. I do hope this jerk gets a long

jail sentence.

Geezer

why would thailand be any different? because it is buddisht? because thais is the ''nicest people in the world'' according to most?

most thais know and say do not get involved in other peoples fights and arguments.

it has always happened over the pettiest things, hell you even miss most shootings, stabbing etc news anyways because you probalby dont know the thai language and violence has actually decreased.

also this happened today too

yea, he was whacked out of his gourd on the drug alcohol, figures..

Perhaps the Phuket gravy train is running out of steam causing new anxieties.

There was a man beating his wife at the entrance of Super Extra Lotus on bypass road (intersection, that big one). She was also carrying an infant. Everyone just walked around them as they rained fists on one another. Most know better — never get involved. Although your intentions are well-placed, life in Thailand is fragile and twisted at times.

Had I stepped in to help her, I’m sure they’d BOTH have attacked me.
