January 2, 20206 yr What about something along the lines of allocating one nomination per sub forum, with a criteria that the nominee has started at least 2 threads with over 10 responses in that forum, and at least 20 posts I guess there are too many sub forums so may have to qualify by the number of posts in that forum Jan - Nov Top 10 or 15 forums provide one nominee Just a rough outline would need fine tuning

January 2, 20206 yr Popular Post I used to be staff at a forum with thousands of members, we too had elections at the end of the year: best post, best thread, best member, best staffer, best avatar, best signature, most funny member, most missed member, best artist (there was a graphics section) etc. As it wasn't to be taken too seriously we didn't bother with a committee, simply a nomination round first, followed by elections. The winners would get funny gold, silver and copper graphics displaying the title they won below their username. And indeed it made people quite enthusiastic, with lots of fun and postive posts.
