I have a Mitsubishi Triton 2.5 with about 60k on the clock.

Lately I have noticed some engine surging and lack of acceleration.

I have been told the issue is probably carbon build up from the exhaust re circulation system and it is possible to use an EGR cleaning fluid to remove some of the carbon build up.

Has anyone used such a cleaner here in Thailand and if so was it successful and where did you get the spray from?

Yes it should work.

From what I've read EGR's should be cleaned at 30,000k so it should have been done at service intervals.
