Haven't been up to see our local reservoir but am following the numbers here: https://www.thaiwater.net/DATA/REPORT/php/rid_dam_1.php?lang=en

All well and good, but the query, here in the Phuket forum, relates to our small local dams. At this stage the only water available on the Island.

The water volume in large reservoirs in southern Thailand from HH to Yala doesn't help Phuket in any way.

My well stopped temporarily the other day, needed to be primed to get going again.

At this stage I'm unsure if the level is low or if there was some other problem. Worrying this early in the year.

There's a small lake in Layan (with a pump and pipe to fill up the tankers, so does that count as a "dam"?) and I have never seen it so high in five years of visits - it's full to the brim.

There - a positive post on Thai Visa Forum!

Forgot to mention

On the road around Bang Wad Dam there has just been about 30 pallets of concrete blocks placed waiting to be used.

Asked a guy with a digger there and he said they were building a pier, at least that is what I think he meant.

Anyone with more info?

If it's any consolation our 15 metre well just got replaced with a 32 metre well for exactly the same reason and I'm at the base of large mountains in the North of Thailand.

.......and the relevance to a thread about PHUKET is exactly what?

Bangwad Dam has improved quite a bit but compared to previous years the water level now is how it usually was in March.

Chalong Dam is quite full although also not as full as last year.

Manik Dam is still almost bone dry.

Looks like all that water that could have filled the Manik Dam is now in the big lagoon at Bluetree...

I live near Manik Dam and the Mains water gets cut off during the day now, gets switched back on (late) in the afternoons, started on Monday.

Havent read anywhere about this happening officially, anyone else been switched off ?
