So every night I read TV there is a lot of (what ever you call them) posting

absolutely nonsense. Even add a link of nothing.So what are they trying 

to achieve ? Nobody reads their posts, what is the point? I know it makes

it hard for the moderators to track them and delete them. And they do a

good job doing that. So why do they do it?

 

Just after I posted this another one comes along

They are simply spammers, I guess they get a commission of some sort for spamming the products that they are busy spamming. 

 

The spammers are sent packing as soon as they are reported or spotted.  

 

They just continue to spam, apparently they have nothing else to do but spam.

Spammers.

As my colleague stated they are often commission based but they can also be building "back-links" these are links to a website placed on popular high traffic sites like ours which then boosts the reputation of their website/product in search engines and provides them more traffic.

 

They rarely last beyond 15 minutes here and usually removed within 5 !

 

Trolls

Nonsense topics and interrupting in topics purely to upset and wind people up. These are often just lonely sad people seeking attention.

Got nothing better to do than "playing" and causing problems as a form of entertainment to their devoid personalities.

 

The term troll is very over used to the point it's meaningless.

 

Often used against people they simply disagree with
