Rimmer Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Officials warn against fireworks carelessness during Chinese New Year celebrations  PATTAYA:--Pattaya officials warned of fire and injury risks by careless Chinese New Year’s revelers.  The warning comes after a British tourist was killed when illegal fireworks blew up in his face on New Year’s Eve. City hall reminded celebrants not to light firecrackers inside or close to flammable material. The warning also urged people to stand 10 meters away from firecrackers and not to light too many at once. Children also should not play with fireworks, the common-sense reminder said.  Fire risks also increase during Chinese New Year’s, as many people light incense or burn joss paper.  Read more: https://www.pattayamail.com/news/officials-warn-against-fireworks-carelessness-during-chinese-new-year-celebrations-284715 -- PATTAYA MAIL 2020-01-19— 1 "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast!" If they can't get the above basics right, how are they going to handle anything as complicated as fireworks? 4

DrTuner Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 I had to google when the CNY is when I noticed some red paper lanterns at HomePro yesterday. Next weekend, yes? Other than that, I saw very little evidence of an upcoming party. Good, not my thing.
mok199 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 File this warning behind the don't drink and drive warning , the don't litter warning , the don't rip off tourists warning , no loud scooter warning , the don't drive on the sidewalk warning, the don't trust a lady with a high pitched screeching voice warning...I'm sure I have forgotten a few ...but that is the jest of it....FIN 1
balo Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Maybe better to just stay home or travel away from the disaster zone.Â
