My Fiance is looking at removing a poorly done second floor at her parents house in Noen Maprang District/ Phitsanulok Province. She has been getting crazy high prices for steel roofing installation! Does anyone have any helpful advice/ suppliers/ cost estimates for good quality, insulated roofing? What are standard sheet dimensions and thicknesses? The house is 40 sq. meters. I appreciate any wisdom here!  She is financing this project from her own funds and I don't want to see her robbed blind.

Not as easy as that, the problem is that there are many specifications in steel roofing projects.

A company will be expensive who specialises in a certain product.

A recommended local builder who can roof can be very inexpensive using roof materials from say Global house to make a very sound insulated waterproof, heat proof roof.

If you have no knowledge of the building industry let alone Thailand let her get on with it.

Every major town has a Thai Watsadu...their prices for building materials is a good starting point. Unfortunately, builders seem to want a massive profit, a three/four day job for two people and materials of 10k most want to charge 40k upwards which as we know is way off the mark for labour costs, 

I am thinking that the steel roofing will be 24k Gold plated when installed at the prices she has gotten!

Giving a little more information as to the prices quoted, details of Exactly what is being quoted for would be helpful in deciding if the prices are crazy or reasonable.

I can't help with Phitsnulok, but you can at least see what materials I used and the costs (in Chiang Mai, 8 months ago) in this old thread:

While the house is 39m² how big is the roof? What is included in that cost? Just the steel sheets and fitting? Subframe? 
 

FWIW our house and workshop is about 220m² but the roof is about 430m². We have about a 15^o slope so the total roof is probably a smaller square metre area than one with a more usual steeper slope. The house SWMBO built for her grandmum has a roof area that is about 4X the house area.

Ridiculous................depending on what required structure is underneath though.........I did my  own easy as farting really

Is that a misprint? 40 sqm is the size of the average studio apartment in a condo.

Has the OP considered the alternative, cement tile sheeting? Heavier, cheaper, less rain noise, assuming the roof beams can take it.

250,000 - 300,000  baht is definitely a ripoff. I could build a whole 36 sqm guesthouse for that in Chiang Rai.

7,500 per sqm aprox is ridiculous for a roof cover strip and replacement @ Thai prices.

To help need a Roof plan and access requirements.

Replacing what with what.

Yes it is probably way too high but without more information a sensible figure is impossible to suggest.
