smedly Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 MB taxi's the overheads and fuel cost is massive In Pattaya MB taxi's are ripping people off left right and center - the refuse to keep to the city hall price guides of 15baht for 1km and 5baht for every KM added - so a 2km MB taxi ride should be 30baht - they are charging anything from 50baht to 80baht Compared to a taxi were they have large overheads that is robbery There is a MB taxi rank near me that want 60bhat for a 2km ride - I walk an extra 150m for the right price of 40baht including tip I think Phuket is even worse than pattaya

bearpolar Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 “We also want the company to reduce the distance between customers and restaurants to be only 4km, which is reasonable for what we are paid. Grab can charge more for the service. For example, they can charge one baht extra for each 100m beyond 4km,” Mr Nattisorn said. Grab already ups its delivery fee from 1b to 20-70b depending on distance, unlike foodpanda that is always free. none of that goes to the rider?
stevenl Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 There seems to be no margin at all in these services, so nu surprise they want to earn something.
