I understand that Thailand TV has gone totally digital with local TV some time ago.
As a result I have a few questions based on how the Thai partner can watch free to air Thai TV (CH7 for example) in Chiang Mai on a TV-Not via an android box/computer/streaming system etc.
1.  What is the most cost affective type/model of aerial?
2.  Where are the best places to buy one
3.  How do you know where to point the aerial.  (The modern ones I have seen do not seem to have an obvious “pointy” end!)

you will get best results with an outdoor antenna ( unless you live very close to the transmitter)

they use the same frequencies as the old analogue TV did so  no need for any "special digital" antenna
