Where to find electrical measuring instruments in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, i am sure this asked before but i could not find any answers.

I would like to buy some measuring instruments like earthing resistance meter, multimeter and some other stuff during my visit to Bangkok.

If someone direct me to the correct place i will be greatful.

Lazada online or Bang Mo in BKK Chinatown.

Start here and wander around the neighborhood.  Hundreds of shops and kiosks with electrical/ electronic/ audio stuff.

Used to be a DIY electronics store in one of the upper levels of the Old Siam Plaza mall (big red roof building in the pic) at the other end of Thip Wari Alley. Might be worth a look.

I found that general area around Yaowarat/Phahurat Roads a lot of fun to explore and shop for tools, electronics and whatnot. I had a favorite hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant that was good and cheap - tiny open-front shop.

They deliver at your home or you go to their shop on Ban Moh.

I bought mine there.

Just buying at one of those 100 little shops at Ban Moh , you don't really know what you buy , specifications/resolution/accuracy... but you can get very cheap ones.

Depending on where you are in Bangkok, Ban Mor is a good choice if you are in the center and they offer far more then other locations like Zeer Rangsit which is good for people living in the northern part of Bangkok. (Amorn and Nattapong/NPE at both locations).

For just the measuring devices, even earth resistance meters, you can go look at Nattapong/NPE, they are on the side of Ban Mor area too just along the water opposite the palace area. (in the map picture above, walk all the way trough the chao khun thewet alley, and then turn right walk pass the copperwinders (for trans/fans) and there is NPE with blue front.

I found the NPE in Zeer Rangsit more clear and spaced which helps in the orientation as the one in ban mor is packed but nonetheless an good hop.
