Is there a Thai phrase equivalent to "bon voyage" ? Everything I've been able to find seems rather clumsy for what must be a commonly expressed sentiment.

The two things I usually hear:

 

เดินทางปลอดภัย dern taang bplod pai - have a safe trip

เที่ยวให้สนุก tiao hai sanuk - have fun on your holiday

Thai says "I wish a safe trip for you." 

May (you) get ขอให้ (คุณ) 

trip เดินทาง 

free (of) danger. ปลอดภัย

OK ? นะ 

  ครับ 

You should look out for variations on this theme on roadside signs leaving towns. 

If they have Welcome signs on entering. 

Welcome = ยินดีตอนรับ 

Happy ยินดี

(at the) time (of) reception ตอนรับ 

In serving you I am happy.   Might be another way of understanding it because รับ is  used to offer service. eg. รถรับจ้าง vehicle (willing to) receive work-for a payment.  =Hire

Good luck, I expect you know that already.

You would only say Have a good trip once wouldn't you?  โชคดี = fortune good/ luck good to a taxi driver while paying a fare plus tip.  Just as in English final parting words friend might be good luck, the friendly particle นะ might be added. โชคดีนะ

Sawasdee was originally farewell and used when sending someone off

“Good morning” likewise but many people say it as a greeting.
