Sanook reported that students in Khon Kaen province in north east Thailand went to the scene of a collision between a car and a train at a level crossing near their school.

The students were in tears as inside the car was popular PE teacher Por, aged 47.

He was killed instantly after he went through a barrier at a level crossing in the Ban Wang Kerng area of Wang Chai district.

His Toyota Altis was very badly damaged and thrown into an irrigation ditch after the collision with a Bangkok to Udon Thani diesel train.

The train was slowing as it approached the station of Nam Pong about 700 meters from the crossing.

Probably a little late for the nonsense and parading that takes place every morning before lessons. Can't be late and so paid with his life by driving through the barrier.

Its all about the 'face' and now, unfortunately, the man is deed.

As a teacher he didn't set a very good example?

Hope the train is ok

My condolences to the family & students of this man who acted in a stupid, irresponsible manner. Also sympathy for the crew who watched in horror as their locomotive crushed this tin can in front of their very eyes. An all too common event around the world.

PE teacher; Premature Exit.

Do they have driving teachers in Thailand By the way they drive you would not think so

Typical Thaivisa members responses, make jokes and take the <deleted>. If it was an old fart jumping in Pattaya there would be three pages of RIP's and people saying show some respect as a man has died.

The same posters can't understand why the Thais, apparently, want to get rid of them.

The car was badly damaged.....so not a write off then???? Nothing a few hammer blows and a spot of paint can't fix. I've seen total wrecks at repair shops here made 'roadworthy' again.
