Years ago, when smoking was fashionable...I fantasized about smokers wearing a plastic bubble wrap that was secured around the head down to the neck...smokers could enjoy their butts...but no smoke could escape their head area...

One could easily identify heavy smokers by the yellow color of their necks and heads...????

Couldn't make it up!

It'll be ironic if the virus destroys our civilization not by the number of people it kills but because society shuts everything down and we can't get it started again.

When Spanish flue killed millions, people, far as I know, just got on with it and didn't act like it was the end of the world.

Imagine if all airlines stopped flying, that would affect millions in associated industries like hotels, restaurants, tours etc

More excellent advice from the best health service in the world, the NHS.

Just because they are strapped for cash doesn't mean they can't provide no-nonsense solutions to pressing health problems.

Look out for the NHS Home-Bypass-surgery kit coming soon.

Don't know what you have against the NHS. If one is poor and sick it's the best health service in the world. I speak from experience.

Yes, the NHS is the best health service in the world like British beef is the best in the world.

You'll be lucky if you come out alive.

I had major surgery in the NHS. There were many things really bad about my experience, but they did save my life, and for a poor person the investigations and the stay was probably as good as any where in the world. Not everyone can afford 5* private hospitals.

Yes, most probably very limited experience.

No, it wasn't. The stay was nowhere near as good as 'anywhere in the world'.

Have you even been everywhere in the world? I could name you off the top off my hat five places where the stay would be considerably better than a free NHS hospital room.

Yes, thank God my experience with the NHS was very limited. I wouldn't want to experience it for long. Worst health service in the western world.

Look, there is no way anyone can go out in public and not be at risk of many different ways to die. Even hiding at home, a lump of ice from a plane can fall on one.

The only inevitable thing in life is that we are going to die.

Spend more time doing good things than worrying about what might happen, so when one is dying one is not thinking that they should have done ................................

It's quite simple really, if one has a good immune system one will not die, but if one does not and gets the common flue one will die- same with Corona.
