Government health minister: Watch out for "dirty farangs" spreading the virus in Thailand

Thailand's Minister of Public Health and Deputy Prime Minister has taken to social media in a savage attack on Westerners.

 

Many will see his aggressive words on Twitter as a racist assault on legitimate visitors to his country, notes Thaivisa.

 

He called "farangs" dirty people who don't shower.

 

He blamed them for fleeing Europe and coming to Thailand potentially spreading the Covid-19 virus.

 

He advised his countryfolk to avoid them especially as "not a single one was wearing a mask" on a trip he made to Chiang Mai.

 

Last month, Anutin ranted against a foreigner who wouldn't accept his offer of a free mask in Bangkok.

 

Now via his Twitter account - Anutin_C -  not just renewed his attack on Westerners but gone much, much further.

 

Thai Rath in their headline referred to this as "Sia Noo's comeback". Sia Noo is the minister's nickname.

 

He said on Twitter that he had been to Chiang Mai and found there to be virtually no Chinese tourists, just farangs. He said that 90% of Thais in the northern city were wearing masks but not a single "farang" was wearing one.

 

This is why "their" countries are so badly affected by coronavirus, he claimed.

 

He advised that Thais should be more wary of Westerners than Asians.

 

He continued his rant by saying that it is cold in Europe and this is affecting the spread of the virus.

 

Referring to Westerners with the dismissive term "phuak nee" (this lot) he said that they were fleeing the virus and the cold and coming to Thailand.

 

Many are shabbily dressed, he said, and they don't take showers.

 

"We must be careful about them," he said, suggesting that the Westerners had closed off their countries and were avoiding each other.

 

He also referred to his words last month in condemning foreigners implying that his comments had come home to roost.

Nothing to do with all the Thai workers returning from Overseas and proceeded to go out and party instead of being quarantined!

It's from a Twitter account using his name but isn't bluechecked yet.

 

Would it surprise me if he said this? Of course not. He's already proved himself to a complete ****** idiot. 

He's doing such a great job for Thailand's tourism industry.

 

Just goes to show that his first little tantrum was not a one-off. Western countries only have a problem with Covid because they are actually testing for it and reporting the figures honestly.

His mom loves him. Leave him alone.

the guy is an uneducated tool for sure but for me what is striking is that this same scene is being played out in the west (no, not officially) with the Asians being the boogieman, just goes to show that when the s*** hits the fan across humanity many degrade to subhuman..

That is because we are not stupid and we realise those face masks offer littler protection from Corona visa , why waste our time and money buying and wearing face masks that offer little protection .

  Instead of buying those face masks, felangs have been going around 7/11s and buying up all the toilet paper and hoarding it , like back home .

He removed some of his social media accounts recently for posting wrong information. I wonder if this is from a fake account as it just seems so absurd. 

 

If he has said this then it is utterly deplorable. Could you imagine a minister in a normal developed nation stating that all the Asians are the reason for the spread of this and should be avoided at all costs. It is almost Hitler esque. 

This dude qualifies for the Darwin award. He's even more mentally unhinged than Trump when he made his Mexican statements.

 

The irony is that I've noticed more 'farang' wearing face masks than Thais in many areas (not that they really help or are necessary if you're not sick) and as free people, we should have the right to choose whether we wear one or not.

 

The other piece of irony is that Chiang Mai just so happens to be the city with the most polluted air in the world. Talk about calling the kettle black, Mr. racist!
