Australia announces 14 day self isolation for international arrivals

Later in that News broadcast, the subject came up about thew Self Isolation...

this was from Oz PM himself; that after someone has returned from O/S, anyone not complying will be deemed as having committed a serious offence. He went on that this is hovering just below the point where punishment can mean jailtime.

Once you've returned, the authorities are being considered to begin random home visits, to check upon compliance

the PM had a lot to say. This was on OZ Ch9

I think the Aus economy will take a greater hit if they just let these filthy international travelers  enter freely.

I assume you're attempting humour.

Why.... do you honestly think aus will be financially better off without closing the borders ?

Simple use a different address on immigration card. Tourists wont have addresses either.

not half'n'hr ago on the News... didn't catch where they were reporting about, but; I heard the bit where someone said they were only allowed to go outside, to the shop (only the 'one' from a household)

- and when get to the shop, only one shopper at a time allowed to enter to individually shop.

Certainly weird...

One does not need to leave the house to order online... thats one of the marvel's the internet has brought us.

Coles as an example, today have signs up also saying that toilet rolls, for one, cannot be ordered online...

is the ability to buy toilet paper online really an issue for someone self isolating.... am sure they can come up with other means to clean their behinds.

Ironic that all this self isolation for people in AUS and arriving international travelers has only happened after his big Hillsong gathering today !!

... didn't see that bit; but, question...

 - did he elbow bump? or...

The point I'm raising is returning Australians will also be subject to self isolation. Based upon your comment regards foreigners I assume you're also accusing Australian travellers as being 'filthy'.

Drink beer and masturbate furiously.

just watch out for that sharing of bodily fluids!

 - it's probably safer than sharing that beer though

Dunno why they just dont gather the family in the shower cubicle and get to waffle stomping... would be a great family bonding experience.

How do u self isolate and buy food?

Takeaways? Then the delivery guy is at risk.

How do they enforce this? They cant.

Its a joke.

Buy and pay online.

deliver to a closed door

enforced by self... ie... delivery guy delivers to closed door only.

1/4 million baht penalty is motivator.

damn, that was hard.

Yeah right

Like buying 200 toilet rolls

Or bad driving

2 weeks sitting at home what bs

I don't see an issue with it, my whole family has quarantined itself, not that we have it or any symptoms, we just don't want to expose ourselves to it. Only going to do grocery shopping when necessary, once a week, 10 days, albeit I might go to the local tonight to sink a couple ????

the filthy part was a poke on the Thailand health minsters statement (filthy farangs).

If that went over your head I do apologise and can only assume you do not not do pisstake humour... Are you an Aussie ?

hmm, Australia 2nd actually ...

... and ... errr, without falling foul of the moderators for sexualising this ... 'balls' don't seem to have a lot to do with it ... NZ premier (Jacinda Ardern ... gender = female) announced the same policy about 24 hours earlier ...

I take it biology and (keeping up with) media weren't your best subjects ?

Linkage, without reference, to a Thai politician is very obscure for an Oz topic. Yes I'm Australian, but not a bogan as some on this forum obviously are.
