well it was to be expected seeing the uselesness of thai police here in CM

who spend their time collecting traffic tickets in stead of tracking down the forest burners

now are closing their eyes on the new bars opening here in Chiang Mai

what bars u say? here in my area there are a lot of liquor stores that sell whiskey per shot

now just behind my place there is this very loud and talentless karaoke bar that had to close because of curfew and bar rules 

finally peace returns here, BUTT

next door there are 2 liquor shops 

where now starting 8 am all thais are sitting on their motorcycles and tuk tuks,not even 50 cm apart

not wearing mask drinking untill they drop,splatting their drunk conversations to each other

this goes on 7 days a week untill 10 pm

and no police ever stops there ( or may be for a shot of whisky?)even they pass there 1 once a month to collect the 300 bht they charge for??

this again shows rules are useless if you have useless officers on the force

rules rules rules but who cares?

This is unfortunately the way it is ( mostly ).

Maybe offering the police 1000 ThB a month, for closing this 2 liquor shops could work.

why? i do not care to me corona virus means natural selection off the strongest, i am all for letting it take its course. mankind will rise better as before

can not i dislike any form of drunks,also i suspect i had covid some weeks ago never been as sick as this before, including all the symptoms

Anyway you should know that collecting bribe money is considered by the police as a part of their job, and so is by most of the natives.

During flu season — even a severe one — much of the population is already immune. That's not the case with the COVID-19 virus. Until a vaccine is produced it's a sensible precaution to isolate where feasible.
