Maybe explain what you mean by "mechanical keyboard" ? A normal external usb Keyboard for a PC or laptop?

At the moment with malls closed etc, best option for computer bits would be online, Lazada,

You likely aren't familiar with the terminology and thats okay, but a mechanical keyboard is a specific type of keyboard and actually no further explanation is needed. They are different from every type of keyboard and aside from maybe wireless or wired there is no differentiation in design between models aside from internal parts or language.

On the same note, does anyone remember their IBM model M?

I do, and they are still available, though only in or from the US I think. I bought a Razer from InvadeIT in Hua Hin, but I can't say I was happy with it and the warranty seems to me to be designed to assist Razer to avoid responsibility for faults. InvadeIT was no help, perhaps it was me...

I no longer do business with InvadeIT or Razer as a consequence, but many people swear by InvadeIT.

I recommend Lazada though they're Thai-based so you have to accept Thai quality service and after-sales. If that doesn't worry you then good luck, I bought a relatively cheap (Chinese) KB about 6 months ago and have been pretty happy with it. So far.
