question about Non-O extension update

A colleague of mine went to CW today to apply for a 60 day extension. He was told by two separate officers that the Amnesty covers those who have a 90 day permission to stay expiring after 26th March on a non o Multi visa. Another friend who went to Phuket immigration office this morning was told the same.
