China has approved early-stage human tests for two experimental vaccines to combat the coronavirus as it battles to contain imported cases. Chinese citizens planning to return from neighbouring Russia are being told to remain where they are.

BEIJING (Reuters) - China has approved early-stage human tests for two experimental vaccines to combat the new coronavirus that killed over 100,000 people worldwide, state media Xinhua reported on Tuesday.

The vaccines are being developed by a Beijing-based unit of Nasdaq-listed Sinovac Biotech , and by the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products, an affiliate of state-owned China National Pharmaceutical Group.

In March, China have the green-light for another clinical trial for a coronavirus vaccine candidate developed by military-backed China's Academy of Military Medical Sciences and HK-listed biotech firm CanSino Bio, shortly after U.S. drug developer Moderna said it had begun human tests for their vaccine with the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

Facts: there're multiple vaccines entered initial clinical trial stage in the world, include 1 from US( conspiracists are ridiculous ). It's not like because they entered clinical trial would auto guarantee success in research nor mass production - more like opposite, as successful vaccine production may take years or decade in many cases.

One vaccine China researching is the fastest in the world entering phase II clinical trial, but mostly because that one taken easy route( adenovirus carrier ) - eg. easier to develop but also supposedly LESS effective. The project leader volunteered to take vaccine herself in February.

A lot less than the USA will charge for them.

Fair point. And the roll-out will have to be tailored in some manner so the rich and powerful get it first, well before the 'deltas' are allowed access.

they have been screwing us up for quite some time but with the vaccines it's just a couple  steps up on the screwing....

'They' might include many, other than the Chinese, but too embarrassing to make public!
