The Protests in Michigan Have Signaled the Nonsense Is Coming

Featured Replies

The president when asked predictably refused to condemn these antisocial protesters that blocked hospital workers from getting to work in the middle of a pandemic. The bully pulpit of moral leadership is stunning. Such protesters would have never happened without organizing from far right wing groups and an understanding about what the non reaction would be from the white house. Good people on both sides!

Freedom should always come first.  Scared people can stay home. Lockdowns equals fascism.

Amazing how people can just accept lockdowns. Scared into giving up freedom.

Well unlike Europeans, Americans have a right to carry a weapon. Unlike many, there are those who still believe such a right is needed against government. If anything they should be praised for standing up rather than you know...laying down...

With comments like this I never know if this is supposed to be irony.

Or are there really such strange people out there?

But then, 60 millions voted for Trump, I guess that answers my question.

What they are actually wound up about is losing their jobs, income, ability to support their families. How about not trying to ridicule those that are not either rich or on a guaranteed income. This isn't a holiday.

It's true that these few thousand people are worried. I don't blame them for that.

It's also true that there are hundreds of millions of people worried who are NOT blocking up access to hospitals, who are staying self-isolated to help stop the spread of the virus. They are just as worried, but are also taking responsibility for helping in this emergency. They are thinking about the health and welfare of others.

It appears that there are people who only care for themselves... "Me, me, me.... I want, and I want it now! I don't care about the rest of you."

Although it is a minority view, I hold Abraham Lincoln responsible for this.  He should have let the South go when they wanted to.

Ah...blame it all on Abr'am Lincoln...

Not to worry as another poster here thinks that it is NASA, NATO or both..so he wins!

Aw bless - more American style name calling. Who are you trying to impress here?
Helping out every day on the front lines in intensive care are we?
Anyway, more than happy for you to walk around ignoring how contagious this thing is and how it affects a certain population.  Knock yourself out - you and your mates. Chug some chloroquine while you are at it for good measure!

Liberals - always virtue signalling, and making personal insults to those that dont agree with them.

We are back here for 2 years now - waiting for pension before we return - still not sure if return will be full-time or part-time.

Yes we are complying here - no choice - fines given and arrests are being made. All police leave has been cancelled.

In that case we will shift to the 'Royal' just down the road which has a wonderful beer garden overlooking the river...

maybe stop peppering your posts with the predictable sky news at night speak, and we can have a conversation.

If not, some tips. You've already got 'socialists, liberals, and virtue signalling' out there. May I suggest you try 'snowflakes', 'lib tard' 'PC' or my personal favourite, 'participation trophy'.

Nice pub by the way...

Fair enough mate - I gotta check out Sky News at Night - they obviously speak my language ????

I was saving those for later - but lib tharrrd is banned I believe - same as T D S.

Not as many good pubs in Aussie anymore - so many were turned into 'enetrainment' venues in the 80s and 90s.

Many times I went with mates to a pub and met the locals and had a chat and listened to some live music - days are gone.

Richard Clapton - Deep Water - sums it all up.

I am no fan of Hillary. But do you really think she could have handled the current situation any worse than Trump?

You are mostly correct however, I think  It was Deblasio that banned Big Gulps and tried to put more tax on sugary drinks. Also they stopped allowing any transfats to be used in restaurants. French fries will never be the same. It's also now illegal to sit on park benches in NYC

Quarantine is when you lock sick people away.

Tyranny is when you lock healthy people away.

Madness is when the healthy people demand to be placed under house arrest for an indefinite period.

The sad thing about boomers like yourself is that you still get to vote. The good thing is that the way you treat Covid you wont be around to vote much longer,

And selfishness is when you do not care about anyone else because you have drunk the kool aid and think you are invincible. Ok we get it. You think you are invincib;e and you are happy for many people to die for Murica and Freedom and Guns.

It is clear that you are happy for people to die for what you call freedom..

If I say that I think it is better that people like you die as you would be no loss to the gene pool I am sure I will get deleted and banned,

Your idea of freedom works both ways,
