Wow if that is the case we are 'fcuked' because we and the Phoo Yai Baan are not on speaking terms.

Will ask our village obotor if he heard something about this.

Ps: We are in Buriram not in Phitsanulok.

Edit: Just called the obotor and he hasn't heard anything about this and he was in a meeting with the Phoo Yai Baan all day yesterday, so maybe it's just TiT and it depends on the province.

Thx. Wow yeah they are really going at it.

And again TiT, so province specific.

Let's wait how long it takes for the other provinces to follow same with the alcohol ban.

Nothing like this in rural Prachinburi.

I have heard that cannot leave the province, though I haven't tried so can't verify. But within the province, can travel freely outside of nighttime curfew.

A village is just a tiny tiny part of a province. The provincial governor sets the rules in a province.

As I understand it these "passes" allow you to proceed through the checkpoints without getting stopped. They are issued to the vechicle driver (not to passengers AKAIK).

Everyone at the company I am working at got them on Friday; wasn't able to try it as we got waved through the checkpoint anyway on the way home.

Who issued them?

Officially Pho Yai Ban is supposed to sign off but he wasn't there yesterday when we went through so my guess is one of the lads signed it for him....most Thai signatures I have seen look easy to forge as they don't seem to write in a cursive script as we foreigners do.

I think it is from the municipality office but I could be wrong. Won't be able to find out until tomorrow.

Easy. A PYB has no official authority nor the power to decide who can do what. He is no more than a janitor whose job is to make announcements and pick up the trash. So simply discard him. First go to the PYB and insist he do his job and record the session. If he does not, go to his manager at the amphur armed with this information and have a chat that your PYB is a useless moron who refuses to do his job. Formal complaints can also be filed there. No one needs to tolerate unfair discrimination.

I am moving freely between Chiang Rai and my GF's village. The only check point on the way seems to be manned in the morning, never seen police there in the afternoon..

Funny thing!  Like us yesterday we got the permission slip to miss class....hang on, I mean the travel ticket then we never got challenged at all!  But I am guessing if we didn't have it we would have got stopped.

One more thing I'm pretty certain about is that the one you showed in an earlier post on this thread will only work for checkpoints in the Muang area of Phits.

Pretty certain but not 100%.
