When it is all over, we will be back to the fear of getting run over, in fact the first day back the road death toll maybe greater than the virus......????

Having been fairly static for some days, seeing the number in the teens is very good news. Just hope it keeps the downward descent.

Dear Nation, please may I introduce you to the revolutionary data presentation concept known as a 'table'. What a bloody mess that is above...   Anyway, seemingly good news again for Thailan

  • Let's hope the improvement continues and restrictions can be eased nationally at the start of May.   The suggestion that Chonburi, Bangkok, Phuket and other areas that have recorded the most

Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore has high heat but their numbers are high so this theory ain't plausible.

I think it is the amount of social distancing in a society and also measures taken.

If Thailand didn't have that boxing stadium gathering, the number of cases would have been much lower. That triggered the first big cluster in Bangkok around mid March.

I did some checks on this a while ago check the deaths and infections per million population, I think you will change your mind.

Seriously - have you ever crosschecked a news cycle? Thailand is so low because the testing is way below e.g. the US (which is by far not the highest) - little testing = fewer cases

tests per 1 million population:

Thailand: 2,043/1 million

USA: 12,651/1 million

Italy 23,985/1 million

The testing is barely relevant. Intellect is far more relevant here. Not zombie panic mongering. There were millions of Chinese and Europeans running all over Thailand in Dec, Jan, Feb and part of March. Millions. And chances are, many were infected with Covid. The incubation period passed long ago. People would be croaking in the streets right now, if it was as bad as many expats claim it should be at this time. The world will not be coming to an end. The zombies will not be descending upon us. This thing is basically over, here at least. Let it go.

Just realize, that once we are all back "outside" rejoicing that restrictions are lifted, you are in reality still not "safe" from the many dangers that exist in our world

Stay safe, be well, and social distance. Wear a mask, wash your hands, and so on

Correct. I will not be safe from a highway death, or a brain aneurysm, nor being mowed down by a vehicle, or being struck by lightning. But, I will be very safe against the ravages of covid. As much as some seem to desperately want to cling to the zombie apocalypse theory, this thing is pretty much gone, baby gone here in the LOS. Just let it go. The grim reaper will come one day. But, probably not today.

I do not believe the BS from this government wait 2 more weeks for it to explode in the provenances. Go out to early at your own risk. It is all about the money

Without any details of the number of people tested, these reported figures are meaningless !

For example in New Zealand yesterday, 6400 people were tested and 3 were tested positive. This is from a total population base of about 4.75 million. Figures here have meaning.

That not tell them how many people have had the virus with no symptoms it only says how many have the virus at the time of testing

A covid test will test positive when you have the virus, whether you have symptoms or not.
