Phetchabun school director arrested for allegedly molesting girl, 12

The director of Ban Hua Na Lao school in Phetchabun province turned himself in at Ban Tiew Police Station on Tuesday (April 21) after being accused of molesting a school girl.

 

Police had requested an arrest warrant from Phetchabun Provincial Court following a video clip of the school director allegedly molesting a school girl in his office had surfaced on social media last week.

 

 

The school director, Narongwit Phakham, refused to answer any questions from the press and said he would only give details in the court.

 

He was charged with indecent assault of a minor aged not over 13. A conviction carries a maximum punishment of 15 years in jail or Bt300,000 fine, or both. The court has set the bail amount at Bt600,000.

 

The girl’s parents have already given their statements to the police. They revealed that the girl was 12 years old at the time the video was recorded, which was around two years ago. She was in her Prathom 6 or last year of elementary school.

Seen the video.........there is no allegedly about it. He must be looking at a B5000 fine and a transfer to another school.

After telling the wife about this, she said most likely other teachers had suspicions, and one of them finally got their phone out.

 

Heh, just awhile ago I replied to the story about the poor American teacher and vet who lost it in front of the US Embassy. I said that if anyone's really considered about Thai children, foreign teachers and background checks should be the least of their worries.

the video was on facebook which is how it got the publicity, it looked like he was secretly filmed by someone

The video was shown on a Thai TV News channel last evening. Even though most was pixellated it was obvious that he was furiously groping a girl seated in a chair. A a grandfather it made me sick. Of course, there are pedos in every nation but you only read about them not see it visually.

Probably because she's old enough to get married now, and marriage would get him off the hook.

If she was still 12 there's no deal to be done.
