Featured Replies

I know you all have been unpatiently waiting for this! Here we go, raro's very long overdue beer thread!

I mean....who needs those fluffy chocolate-we-love-ya-all stuff! Let's get down to business!

First of all, let's have a look at the bottle that inspired this wonderful thread:

Let's adore it's shape, it's half-fullness! No comparison to a disdainful chocolate bar! Let's get down on our knees and worship!!

Tiger beer is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat, excellent if you can get it on draught.

This is my beer of choice at the moment, Lapin Kulta, Finnish beer. Far superior to Swedish piss.

My Favourite Brew, even if it is from Ontario

honet-botCan.jpg

Flavourful, unique aftertaste, nice frothy head when poured, not unlike a good ale. Must be served quite cold as it has a heavy feel if it's not. The upside is that unlike many lagers, it doesn't lose it's flavour when very cold.

Fantastic beer. Love duvel. Love Leffe too. de Konick... well, most belgian beers are on my "to drink" list.

MASSIVE BIG :o

Got the idea now ?

The only beer I drink when in Thailand is Tiger (is that irony, or what?) all the rest, Chang, Singha et al, give me fierce hang-overs!!!

These days however, I am a wine drinker.

We get it Tots, but what about the beer? :o

raro, I'm gonna report you to the court of human rights for displaying such a pikkie cos I aint got one in me hands right now (give it a couple of hours tho :o .)

Tiger tiger burning bright,

just how the <deleted> did I get home last night?

Does anyone remember the beer 'Colt 45? The ad went, 'Every Tom, Dick or Walt who likes the taste of malt, will like the malt in a colt 45!'

Sweet!!!

I never thought of you as a bitter man MrBo.

Sorry couldn't resist a bit of pub humour, I'll get my coat.

Beer at home means Davenport's, that's the beer, lot's of cheer.

With finest malt and hops and yeast turns a snake ( oops snack ) into a feast.

Straight from brewery to your home, why collect?...... We'll deliver, soon you'll know why folks all say...beer at home means DAVENPORT'S !!!

G-od I feel old.

I just learned how to operate the "quote" button and I am delighted about it's abilities! Instead of answering each of you individually, I can do this now in one long post....wuaahahaaaaa

Canadian beers, yeah, as a German I must admit there are some good brews. Canadian friends of mine always bring along some cans of beer for sampling. Ther were some honey lagers that were very nice.

Belgian Beers! Fantastic choice! Remember trips to the High Venn with the pretext of walking through the swamp....but honestly....you want to walk through a swamp if there's a pub nearby??

See above.....right on Mr. Klown! ...also deleted the emoticons...can it be that Frementle based firefighter staff has a higher emoticon allowance than us common folks....just an impression...darrnnn.....had to delete the entire post....there is a mxiu=mum of quoted posts, too.......funspoilers.....

good to know.....so far Iknow only Foster from Oz...and as other Ozzies confirmed it is not the best one from that part of the world. So there's hope! :o

Just trying another beer that is new. Its called Hop THief Ale by James Squire. James Squire makes some really good beers. His Porter is fantastic. This beer is very hoppy, hence the name. Actually quite nice. Its only 5% but tastes stronger.

Just trying another type of beer i bought. This one is a Tooheys Pils. Its ok. But at 5.2% tastes milder than the last for some reason. But still a nice beer. Could probably drink more of these than the last.

:D :D :D

yeah yeah yeah.. beers ar great.. but I'm just posting to commend RARO on his brave effort (and improvised solutions) in that MASSIVE post! that was hilarious. Well done Raro.

now, briefly

:o

You may - friendly advice here - wish to use slightly less quotes/more posts... however :bah: A middle ground between your previous method and your new found knowledge.

There are indeed certain limits. Dynamic tags, like

, [image] etc.. are limited, I don't know exactly how much.

And smilies is a maximum of ten per post, including quotes, etc.

That's why i sometime link external smilies as images

:D

I never thought of you as a bitter man MrBo.

:o:D

I'm a City fan Robski. Bitter, through and through.

I do like many other beers from all over the world but i find many lagers are just too gassy. I do like a few of these though but it's the kind of drink you can't have too many of.

post-19542-1176627109_thumb.jpg

One of these is nice every so often....
