Popular Post rooster59
At last! Thai schoolgirls and boys can wear their hair long Image: Daily News New rules have been issued by the Thai education authorities about students' hair. From now on both boys and girls will be able to wear their hair long or short, though it must remain "appropriate" and look good. The change, long sought after by teens wanting to be independent, was announced in the Government Gazette. Boys are still limited by how long their hair can be at the back. It should not go beyond the "hairline" (teen phom). On top and at the fringe it should be appropriate and decent looking. Girls can wear their hair as long as they like so long as it conforms to being appropriate and decent looking. Boys cannot have facial hair and styling and dyeing of the hair of both sexes is still prohibited. Thaivisa notes there have been many cases of teachers forcibly cutting students' hair in recent years. This has caused many people to question the legality of such rules in relation to human rights. Thai schools are on holiday right now and are not expected back until July due to the coronavirus pandemic. Normally they would be returning this month. Popular Post zyphodb
I thought that this was brought in a few years ago and Thai teachers have just ignored it, just as they have ignored the ban on hitting students with sticks of bamboo in class... 6 1

Popular Post Somtamnication
The school directors have the choice of implementing the new rules. Fact is, most will not. 2
dinsdale
Wonder how the old biddy conservative teachers will handle this. On the other hand I'm sure the head lice will love it. 1

Cruel and unnecessary. Better change that to "some" universities. I worked 6 years at two universities, ladyboys (who chose to) dressed as women. ............................ 4

Students - oh, the penguins. Years ago those penguins were the ones actively seeking out ferangs. They were in the old Complex shopping centre in Udon anyway. It wasn't to seek advice about homework either.

Popular Post HHTel
Where did they drag this one from. That edict was given by the education authority some years ago. Schools can of course stipulate their own rules which many schools did, going against the advice of the Education Ministry. Edit: This was announced by the Minister for Education on 10th January 2013 and has never been changed since!! Over many years there's been many campaigns to try to stop girls wearing such short skirts at 3 uni's I've taught at in Bkk including the 2 most prestigious uni's. One other uni has basically given up and unofficially dropped rules about uniforms, result is even much shorter skirts than above and extremely short shorts with much flesh revealed in the back. Don't ask - no names given.
